Daring Card Makers - Office

The dare from DCM this week is to make a card using something what is used in an office.

I teached German for a long time not in a school, but in the offices from the managers from DaimlerChrysler. My experience of an office are a lot of mens in fancy dresses with a young, smiling secretary. And, of course, the time schedule.

When a had classes we always drunk coffe. I had to many coffes at this time!

The dare is not exactly that was I made, but, I think, it's ok.

Daring Card Makers

DCM dares us this week to make a card withour any commercial stuff. I decided not to make a card, but to make the own stenciled paper.

All you must have are some commercial stencils, a tool like that on the photo and colored paper. It must be a paper with 120/180 gr. A little heavy, because we will put many layers of color of this paper.

TOOL: make this tool with a wood stick and some foam on the end (see picture).

I used fabric paint, because acrylic paints dry to fast and sticks on the stencil and on the foam and this is hard to work.

Lay the first stencil over the paper, wet the foam slightly in the paint and slam (!) smoothly with the foam over the stencil.
It's not necessary the film to be homogeneous.

Allow the first paint dry and put a second stencil over the first and do the same.

Make this until you have the desired surface.

You can use different designs of stencils or the same design .

The dare from DCM this week is about food. I made a recipe card of cookies. This cookis are very good!

DCM ask us to make a "recipe" card . We must use three things: a stamp, a chipboard and a metal thing.

I use a stamp and a metal dragonfly on my card.

DCM - Beautiful

The Team of Daring Card Makers (Kathy) posted a challenge named "beautiful". Here is my contribution.

In my neighbourdhood is a little store, which sells wood stuff for decoupage. And there I found some clear stamps. They were very cheap and I bought it. When I went home I discovered it was from China . I hate to buy China things, because they have no quality and they copy things from others. But,OK, what ever!The mistake was done.

Then I used this stamp and the wonderful Michelle's stamp.

The girl is beautiful, isn't she?

The Daring Card Makers offered a template to make a card or whatever. I made this card based on the doned template. I hope Gillian will like it.

This collage was made only with found paper. It can be abstract or pop. Or may be it was inspired by Kurt Schwitters.

DCM - Heritage

I don't know the exactly mean from the word Heritage.

I made this work some time ago. The picture on the collage is a photo from a girlfriend from my husband. This friendship is so old that he could not remember her name. I don't know why I have this photo. In a strange way I have it with my other old photos.

So, I thought to made a collage with a photo from a unknown woman. I think this is a kind of "heritage" or not?

Daring Card Maker has the challenge this week to make a card announcing the birth of twins or multiples. Here is my card.

Daring Card Makers

This bookmarker is very simple to make: a stripe of paper, a stencil and some paper scrap. Cut the scrap in form of a butterfly, apply the stencil over the paper stripe and glue the butterflies over all. That is my contribution. You'll take about 15 minutes to do that.

I have made this card for Gillian's DCM. It is not a card in the Scrapbooking Style, but I thing it is interesting. I called it "The utopic of living together" (A utopia do convívio).

Today I want to do one in a scrapbooking style.
