Today was a cold, misty day and I could take this photo on a lake near my home.
This little town isn't poetic, but I was lucky and could do a beautiful shot on a ugly place.

Photo transfer on leather

I'm doing a book for a friend of mine. She was in South Afrika and I wanted to add a rustical touch to her book. Then I decided to transfer a photo on leather.
It's very easy.
You need a photo from printer or fotocopy, acrylic gel and of course a piece of leather.

You must smear a thick layer of acrylic gel on the photo. Really thick! Then put this photo on the piece of leather, smooth it very well and let it dry. Wet a piece of fabric and lay it over the backside of the photo. Very carefully go over with the fabric and "rubbel" the paper until you can see the photo.

Um dieses Fototransfer auf Leder zu machen, muss man so vorgehen wie auf ein Transfer auf Stoff.

Dazu braucht man ein Foto (Printer oder normale Kopie), Acrylic Gel und ein Stück Leder.
Zuerst muss man das Foto schön dick mit Gel beschmieren. Dann legt man diese Seite auf das Leder und lässt es total trocknen.
Dann nimmt man ein Stück Stoff, feuchtet es an und legt es erst mal auf die Hinterseite des Fotos, damit das Papier nass wird. Dann das Papier ganz sanft abrubbeln bis das Foto erscheint. Man muss vorsichtig vorgehen sonst verschwindet das Foto. Ich habe vorsichtshalber, nachdem das fertig war, nochmal Gel über das Foto gegeben.

Montag Challenge - Holiday ATC

Zuerst habe ich den Hintergrund mit Acrylfarbe bearbeitet. Dann habe ich eine Stempel (Stampington) mit schwarzem und braunem Ink bearbeitet und die Karte bestempelt. Auch ein Scrap habe ich mit dem gleichen Motiv bestempelt, durchgerissen und genau aud das untere Motiv geklebt.
Bild drauf, fertig!

First I worked the card with acrylic paint. Thenn I inked a stamp with brown and black ink und stamped the card and a scrap of paper. I glued this scrap exactly on the background stamp, to have a darker and a lighter print from the same stamp. I cuted out a picture, glued it on the card, and done!

Ops! The word Holiday I wrote wrong.

Arthur Bispo do Rosario - Brasilianischer Künstler

Diese Werke sind von einem brasilianischen Künstler, Arthur Bispo do Rosário. Bispo do Rosário wurde 1938 in Rio de Janeiro geboren. Noch jung wurde er in einer psychiatischen Anstalt in Rio de Janeiro eingeliefert und verbrachte dort sein ganzes Leben. Zu seinem Glück versuchte Dra. Nise da Silveira zu dieser Zeit diesen Leuten mit psychiatischen Problemen eine menschlichere Behandlung zu ermöglichen und führte Kunstunterrichte für diese Patienten ein.

Bispo do Rosário sammelte alles was er in der Anstalt sammeln konnte und machte daraus Objekte. Diese drei Stoffarbeiten sind total bestickt. Der Stoff, vielleicht alte Vorhänge oder sein eigenes Bettlacken.

Wenn man über Assemblage und Found Object spricht muss man auch an die magischen Werke dieses armen Künstlers denken.

This works are from a brazilian artist named Arthur Bispo do Rosario. Rosario was born in 1938 in Rio de Janeiro. At the age of 20 he had a psychiatric disorder and must be interned in a hospital. He lived there at it whole life. Dra. Nise da Silveira, a brazilian psychiatrist, worked there and introduced art classes for the interns. This was his luck.

Bispo do Rosário collected all things on this hospital and made art objects from them. This three wallhangers are totally embroidered. The fabric maybe a curtain or an old linen.

Wenn we talk about assemblage or found object we must remember the stunning work fo this poor artist.

Airplane Crash in São Paulo

Diese Collage ist um meine Empörung über den gestrigen Flugzeugunfall in São Paulo zu zeigen. Jetzt haben wir fast ein Jahr ein Luftfahrtchaos in Brasilien und es wird nichts gemacht.
Dann wurde eine neue Piste auf dem Flughafen in São Paulo freigegeben, die noch gar nicht fertig war und vielleicht dieses Unglück verursacht hat.
Aber der Korruption, der geht's gut, danke.
Das und anderes hat man davon!

Fora as outras vidas que se perdem diariamente nas estradas, nos hospitais públicos, nas favelas. Quando é que estes políticos (e não políticos) vão parar? Quando é que nós, povo, vamos nos manifestar com vigor?

Wednesdaystamper - Open

Das Thema bei Wednesdaystamper ist heute offen. Wir haben Narrenfreiheit.

Ich habe diese beiden Sachen vor ca. 2 Wochen gemacht. Die eine Paperdoll ist ein bisschen Lynne Perrella -mässig.

Ich habe den Hintergrund mit bestempelten Seidenpapier gemacht, auf die Karte geklebt und dann das Stück mit Schablonen bemalt. Dann habe ich verschiedene Sachen aufgestempelt, ausgeschnitten und auch draufgeklebt.
Mal was anderes!

Das Challenge für diesen Montag ist "Asia". Ich habe wirklich nichts Gutes zum Thema, auch keine Stempel.
Dann habe ich scraps von chinesischen Restaurants und Geschenkpapier benutzt.
Diesmal sind es auch ATC's.

Ich bin in letzter Zeit absolut nicht zufrieden mit meinen Arbeiten. Sie sind irgendwie blöd und es fehlt meiner Meinung nach etwas. Muss aber trotzdem irgendwas machen.

I'm really unhappy with my works. I think they are a little boring and they doesn't work very well. But I must work.

Mosaic - First try

Ich versuche mal mit Mosaik(?) zu arbeiten. Die kleinen Steine mache ich selbst, von meinem selbstgebrauten Clay. Das Rezept habe ich hier schon mal gegeben. Dann werden die kleinen Dinger bestempelt und mit Acrylfarbe und Nagellack (ich mag den Glanz vom Nagellack) bemalt. Dazu kommt ein Bild aus Papier und alles wird schön auf ein Stück Holz geklebt. Es macht eine wahnsinnige Arbeit und ist noch nicht ganz fertig.

I'm trying to work with mosaic-tiles. I made this tiles myself, with the "biscuit" recipe I done here sometimes ago. Dann I stamp the little things and paint it with acrylic and nail polish (I love the glow from the nail plish). A piece of wood and a beautiful figure on paper. It is a lot of hard work and it's no finish yet.

1) I'm currently on a creativity depression. Nothing works good enough.

3) I murdered a bird that I had. It was a calopsyta and I gave it avocado to eat. On the next day it was death. I was sad for a month or more.

4) I love Law and Order Special Victims Unit. I watch it every night before sleep.

5) This I think only brazilians will understand. I LOVE CAUBY PEIXOTO! Cauby Peixoto is an old brazilian singer, who has a gorgeous voice but people say he is dated and kitsch.

6) I love kitsch things.

7) I really don't know if I am an artist or a collector. I collect things to make art, but I love the things I collect and I don't can make art with this things.

Wednesdaystamper - Hüte

Nachdem ich jetzt fast eine Woche krank war, eine blöde Grippe, die ich von meinem Neffen bekommen habe, hatte ich erst heute wieder den Mut etwas zu basteln.

I was almost a week sick, a cold that my nephew "gaves" me (so sweet!!!). Only today I was able to make the card for Wednesdaystamper.
