I have an exhibition at the Museu de ArtePopular (Museum of Folk Art Culture)
next week.
The work is about ex-votos and these assemblages will take part of my installation.
It's a contemporary interpretation of an ex-votos room, with "retabulos" and other pieces created only with the cheapest toys (normally China made) we can buy.

It's not embroidery, it's a drawing.

Brazilian and mexican folk art

The first is what we call here a "bandeira" (flag) and it was used on June when we have here the "festas juninas" (June partys).
And the second (I can't remember where I found it) is an inspiration for a Frida art.
