Gothic Arches - Halloween

Here my entry for Gothic Arch Challenge - Halloween.

I stamped the background with white ink, but we can't see it very well.

The template of the Gothic Arch is from Belinda, postcard size, a little too big.
I glued it over a advertising postcard from a restaurant.

Hallowe'en

Inspiremethursday and Saturdaystampers have Hallowe'en as theme this week.

I made this fabric collage, with stamps, and I'll use it for both challenges.

Stamps are from Stampington.

We don't have Halloween in Brazil (only some English teaching schools) , because of that I have not Halloween stamps and it's my first experience in "witchy" things.

Twisted Tuesdays sets challenges, that make you think.
It was hard for me to develop this theme.

Again an advertising postcard (I love to collect this kind of postcard) as background. Stamp and collage.

The words mean: "our life could have more.."

That's it.

I'm late for TMTA because I was organizing my studio yesterday. Now I can find the things.

Another Arch

I think this arch have a great effect. I made the background as follow:

First I layed down a piece of lace over a watercolor paper. Then I went over the lace with a brush and dilueted acrylic paint. When it was completely dry I've removed the lace. The lace pattern was transfered to the paper.

I cut out this gorgeous image from Botticelli, painted it with acrylic gel and layed it over the paper. When it was dry, I wet the paper and remove it. So I had the pic with the lace pattern.

And then I stamped it.

I had made it for Gothicarches, thinking on the divine hands from Botticelli.

Gothicarches - Hands

Theme from Gothicarches this Sunday is "Hands". I think the Dürers "Prayer Hands" are one of the most beautiful
interpretation of this theme.

The background was made with paper and a rusty plate. Then I went over with a layer of acrylic paints. Over there I used the beautiful stamps from Michele Ward ( I love these stamps, because they match well with everything ).

Wicked witch - Twisted Tuesdays Challenge

I've altered a advertising postcard from Johnny Walker because of the background.

Carmen Miranda, a brazilian star from the middle of the 50s, was a Hat-Woman. All her hats were colorfull, insane and fun.

Here are two cards for TMTa. Mask stamp is from Lost and Coast Design and golden border from Artchix.

The one on left has an aditional pink border. This made the ATC a little bit higher, but with the stamp from Michelle Ward I think it's pretty.
