ATCs und Karte von Xela

Heute hat der Postbote mich überrascht und diese schönen Karten von Xela gebracht (!).
Ich habe mich sehr darüber gefreut.

Today I received these beautiful ATCs and card from Alexandra Knittel (xela). It makes my day happier.

New work - Collage

The inspiration for this work was Belinda Schneider and Lynne Perrella. Both works with acrylic and stamps. I was visiting the page from Belinda and she has a wonderful tutorial showing how to make the lovely backgrounds she does for her work. Lynne Perrella uses also a lot of acrylic in her work.

Then I do a mix of both artist. From Lynne the typographic elements and from Belinda the work with stamps and acrylic. I stamped with stamp ink because I'm not sure I can clean this sticky paint from the stamps.

Another reason to make this was that I've bought a lot of tags (about 50) at a very good price.

Wednesdaystamper

Gestern fing ich an diese Fabric Collage zu machen, und heute hatte Wednesdaystamper als Challenge das Thema

"Eier" (eggs). Ich wollte zuerst eine andere Karte machen, aber dann dachte ich, das ich das doch benutzen könnte.

In Brasilien feiert man im Monat Juni die "Festas Juninas" (junische Feste). Das sind folklorishe, religiöse Feste, die

drei Heiligen gewidmet werden: Heiliger Anthonius (Valentinstag), Heiliger Johann und Heiliger Peter. Bei diesen

Festen gab es abends ein grosses Lagerfeuer (heutzutage wenn noch, nur auf dem Land), typische Gerichte und

Getränke, und eine Bauernhochzeit. Der Platz an dem das Fest veranstaltet wird, wird auch mit "bandeirinhas" (kleine

Flaggen) geschmückt. Dazu kamen auch grössere "Flaggen" mit dem Bild des jeweiligen Heiligen.
Heutzutage gibt es diese Feste noch, aber mehr als eine Party, eventuell mit der Bauernhochzeit und den Gerichten und

Getränken, aber der religiöse Teil ist verloren gegangen.

Diese Madonna hat diese "junischen Heiligenflaggen" als Vorbild.

Memories sind nicht nur unsere Familienerinnerung, aber auch die Erinnerung an unseren kulturellen Gebräuchen.
Diese "Bandeiras" gibt es heutzutage praktisch nicht mehr, deshalb habe ich diese als Erinnerung gemacht.

In June in Brazil we have what we call the "June Fest". This are folks and religious fests, to honor three saints: Saint

Anthonius, Saint Johann and Saint Peter. On the Saint day people use to make a big bonfire (today only at the country),

typical food and beverage and, of course, the country wedding. The place were the fest take place, is decorated with

"bandeirinhas" (little flags). There were too a bigger kind of flags with the print of the Saint.
Today we celebrate this fest, but without the religious component. People eat and drink, and even the Country wedding

take place.

This Madona hast this Flags as inspiration.

Memories are not only the Familymemory, but also the rememberings of our culture.
Today we can't find this flags I made, the reason why I did it.

Collage - Early work

This is one of my first collages. I made it two or three years ago. At this time I was trying to combine different kinds of prints, normally with bright colors. I think this is an good exercise!

I have a lot of pain because of my tendinitis and I avoid to use the computer. This is hard for me because I love to make my digital collages, work with my photos, but I can do it now.

The reason of this picture is, when you live in Brazil and you follow the political life from this country, you feel like a clown.

Tomei emprestada esta foto do site http://goldensilents. com. É de um ator de cinema mudo chamado Lon Chaney.
O empréstimo se deu, primeiro para acompanhar a Bolsa-Palhaço do BlogdoJosias, e, segundo, é assim que a gente se sente neste país, além de palhaço, mudo.
Se o Renan Calheiros não for condenado pelo Conselho de Ética do Senado, vale mais a pena rasgar seu título de eleitor.

Stoffe auf Leinwand

Das ist die Arbeit auf Leinwand.

Habe dann auch noch diese Fotos gefunden, als ich noch mit dem Thema "Stoffe" arbeitete. Ich war lange Zeit damit beschäftigt. Zuerst fotografierte ih die Stoffe, und dann machte ich ein Ölbild davon. Es machte eine wahnsinnige Arbeit! Dann kamen auch noch die "Kritiker" ich sollte doch auf diese und jene Weise das Thema bearbeiten. Ich habe es dann nicht weiter gemacht. Drei von diesen Gemälden gehören der hiesigen Pynakothek.
Als ich jetzt die Fotos wieder sah, meinte ich, dass sie besser sind als die Ölarbeiten.

Achei também estas fotos, quando ainda trablhava com o tema "tecidos". Trabalhei muito tempo com este tema. Trabalhei muito tempo com esta temática. Primeiro eu fotografava os tecidos e depois passava tudo para a tela. Era uma trabalheira! Dai vieram alguns "críticos", que pretenderam mudar meu trabalho. Parei com eles. Três dos trabalhos desta época pertencem a Pinacoteca aqui da cidade.
Quando vi as fotos novamente, achei que o trabalho fotográfico era melhor do que as pinturas.

Orchester

Ich suche bestimmte Fotos (die ich nicht finden kann) und falle dabei auf diese Fotos. Das war ein Essay von den Proben vom Orchester hier in São Bernardo do Campo. Es gab dann auch eine Ausstellung. Leider wurde der Dirigent, aus "politischen" Gründen entlassen und jetzt haben wir praktisch keine Konzerte mehr.

Estou procurando certas fotos (que não consigo encontrar) e achei estas. Foi um trabalho sobre o ensaio da Orquestra de São Bernardo do Campo. Houve também uma exposição das fotos. Infelizmente, o maestro, por motivos "políticos", foi dispensando e agora não temos mais concertos em São Bernardo do Campo.

Frottage

Can you remember "Frottage"?

Wenn we were a child, we took a piece of paper, a pencil and looked for a
textured surface. We layed the paper over the surface, went smoothly with
the pencil over the paper and a picture was done!
You can do that and use it for card backgrounds. Make the frottage, cut the
texture out, glue it over a card, go over with paints or stamps, glue a
picture and you will have a great work!

Neue Karte - New Card

The background of this card was made like the textured paper below. I made it with lace. Then I stamped it and glued the photo.

Der Untergund wurde mit einem Stück Spitze und der u.a. Technik gemacht. Darauf stempelte ich und klebte vintage Papier und das Foto.

Textured Paper - Cheap Trick

Hier die deutsche Version:

Texturiertes Papier

Dazu brauchst du:

- Acrylfarben
- Aquarellpapier
- einen breiten Pinsel
- einlagiges Toilettenpapier oder ähnliches

1. Leg thas Aquarellpapier auf ein paar Zeitungsblätter (um deinen
Tisch sauber zu halten).

2. Auf das Aquarellapapier legst du dann die Streifen Toiletten-
papier nebeneinander.

3. Verdünne die Acrylfarben mit Wasser.

4. Benutze nur Acrylfarben mit organischen Pigmenten (z.B.
Burnt Umber, phtalocianine blau oder rosa, indisches gelb).

5. Tränke deine Pinsel in der Farbe (er muss ganz voll Farbe sein)
und "lege" die Farbe auf das Toilettenapier (sorgfältig, sonst reisst
das Papier).

6. Mach das bis das ganze Toilettenpapier bedeckt ist.

7. Falls sich kleine Luftbläschen bilden, geh mit dem Pinsel drüber,
sonst hat man später weisse Flecken.

8. Wenn das Toilettenpapier nur noch leicht feucht ist, nimm es
runter.

9. Falls es doch weisse Flecken gibt, gib nochmal ein bischen
verdünnte Acrylfarbe drüber.

Es ergibt sich eine schöne "alte" Textur, wenn man brauneTöne benutzt.

Das gleiche kann man auch mit einem Stück Spitze machen.

Karten und Postkarte

Wednesdaystamper - Blumen

Die Herausforderung von Wednesdaystamper sind Blumen. Da wir hier in Brasilien nächste Woche (12.6.) unseren Valentinstag feiern, habe ich die Karte als Valentinskarte gemacht.
Der 12. ist der Tag des Heiligen Antonius und hier in Brasilien wird er der "Hochzeitsheilige" genannt. Jede die heiraten will(!) macht irgendwas an diesem Tag, damit der Heilige ihr einen Bräutigam bringt. Z.B. kann man den Armen in einem Schrank so lange verstauen bis er seine Aufgabe (einen Bräutigam bringen) getan hat. Oder man schreibt am 11. die Namen der Verehrer auf Zettelchen, rollt sie zusammen und lässt sie über Nacht draussen. Der Zettel, der sich öffnet ist derjenige fürs Leben.

The challenge from Wednesdaystamper is Flowers. We have the Valentins Day in Brazil on 12 June. This is the day of Saint Anthony, the "Wedding Saint". Every woman who wants to marry pray for his services. One of this practices is to hide the Saint on a cupboard and let him there till he has brought a fiancée for this girl.
Or,at the nicht before, you can write the name of friends on pieces of paper, roll the papers up and let it outside over night. The paper, which is open at the morning, is the man for hers life.

Journal - Philosophical Journey

I've found a book about Pantanal with very nice pictures and I decided to make a journal of this book. The idea was to use pictures from Renascentism and non-sense composition. This are the results.

Angeli - Toninho Mendes - Nostalgia

A Folha de São Paulo trouxe hoje uma matéria sobre Angeli, que vai relançar algumas revistas do tempo da Rê bordosa, etc. O que me chamou a atenção na matéria foi o Toninho Mendes.
Toninho Mendes fazia músicas junto com o Tatá Guarnieri, que era um assíduo frequentador lá de casa. Me lembro uma vez também, que o Toninho veio passar uns dias conosco, nem sei bem por quê, pois não tínhamos tanta amizade assim. Apenas esta turma era do mesmo bairro, lá do outro lado do rio Tietê (eu entrei nessa turma de gaiata). Mas, eram bons tempos aqueles. De muita música (boa), de muitos livros, filmes de arte e discussões (boas) madruaga adentro. Grande parte de minha formação intelectual vem deste período.
Daí que cada um foi pro seu lado e seguiu a sua vida.
Mas, Tatá Guarnieri foi um marco. Ótimas músicas, boa voz. Lembro até de parte de uma, que acho era do Toninho:
Se Vera percebesse,
o nó da que dá o nó em nós,
Não seria mais Vera,
Vera seria eu.
Pena que tenho apenas um disco (não CD) e onde vou tocá-lo pra poder ouvir estas músicas novamente?
E quem sabe do Tatá?

Cheap Tricks - Home made clay

It's easy to make at home your own "polymer" clay to make enbellishments. This mass is very easy to work on, you can put it on molds or form your own pieces. You can stamp it and paint. You can color the mass with a little bit of oil painting.
You can make flowers and everything we can do with polymer clay. It's a good CHEAP TRICK.

The tiles are mine and the other two pics I've taken from Ana Maria Modugno.

Hausgemachtes Fimo

2 Tassen Speisestärke
2 Tassen PVA Klebstoff
1 Esslöffel Essig
2 Esslöffel Vaseline
1 Esslöffel Handcreme (mit Sylicon)

Die Speisestärke, Klebstoff, Essig und die Vaseline in einem
Glasgefäs gut mischen. ! Minute in die Microwelle geben,
herausnehmen und nochmal gut mischen. Diese Prozedur
zweimal wiederholen (die Masse muss ein bisschen durch-
sichtig sein).

Die Handcreme auf eine Oberfläche verteilen, den Teig
darauf legen und gut kneten. Der Teig wird dann schön
geschmeidig. In einer Kunststofftüte aufheben.

Die Teile Formen und an der Luft trocknen lassen.

Man kann die Teile bemalen oder mit eine Spur Ölfarbe färben.

Altered Art - Terry Taylor

Ich lese gerade das Buch "Altered Art" von Terry Taylor. Es ist hauptsächlich für Anfänger sehr interessant, da er bei jedem Thema über "Basics" spricht.

Das interessante im Buch ist ein Altered Book Round Robin, das er veranstalte und jeder musste über seine persönlichen Mythen etwas darstellen.

Was bist du in der Mythologie? Atlas? Medusa, Tristan und Isolde?

I'm reading the book "altered Art" from Terry Taylor. It's a good book specially for beginners, because he has always a "Basics" point.

The most interesting in the book is an Altered Book Round Robin he created and every designer or artist had to made a altered page about his "personal myths".

What are you? ATlas? Meduse? Tristan and Isolde?
